Steadily building up her reputation as hip-hop’s most blatantly obvious “unpredictable” artist, with her ridiculous imitation of Lil Kim UNIQUE choices of hair wigs and…colours! And making appearances with the likes of Robin Thicke to Mariah Carey to Ludacris, Nicki Minaj is making a name for herself in a comfortable seat of hip-hop.

With hype going round of her upcoming debut album, people are already wondering who they can expect to see her collaborate with next in the near future. We already know that she has teamed up with Siwzz Beatz for future project(s), but as a big star coming out of Queens, it makes sense to see her make a single with another Queens favourite 50 Cent. Nicki mentions however that despite both sharing same hometowns, neither have crossed paths.

Speaking to DJ Envy, she says: “”Our paths never crossed, and it’s weird, I did meet [Lloyd] Banks, like, once or twice before.”

“If there is a big surprise, I’m not gonna tell you, Envy,” Minaj teased. “I know everybody will know by the time I say it. You gonna tweet it and stuff. It’s gonna be on the radio. I mean, why would I tell you that?”

It would be intriguing to see if a collab does happen between the two, as the rising star would have something else in common with fellow femcee Lil’ Kim, who has been taking shots at the Young Money diva. Kim and Fif worked together on the raunchy hit “Magic Stick” from Kim’s 2003 album, La Bella Mafia. It would also be an interesting matchup since 50 has been going at Minaj collaborator and rumored manager Diddy in recent interviews, saying the Bad Boy mogul’s music "sucks right now".

Meanwhile, when asked about her status with Drake, Minaj shrugged off any notion that she and the Young Money heartthrob are more than friends. She giggled when Envy broached the subject but then immediately shut down rumors.
The two have had some thinking that the pair are hooking up in ways beyond a label affiliation. But Drake himself has said the relationship is merely “playful” going on to say he “fell in love with Minaj” the moment he met her, and whilst Drake maintains that his feelings for her have always been genuine (“I’ve always really, actually, really had a crush on her, always really loved her, and she’s always just looked at me as, like, her little brother.”), Nicki has just giggled.

“Drake does not have a crush on me,” Minaj assured Envy. When Envy brought up the “Miss Me” lyric, Minaj responded, “Drake knows how to get you guys’ attention.” Yeah, okay, Drake doesn’t like you, sure, and you’re not kinda trying to act a little bit of a bimbo…airhead…“smart”..you know there’s not even a word to even say that won’t get me out of a situation of someone saying to me “STOP HATING HER YOU JUST JEALOUS!”
