Eminem yesterday stopped by at Shade 45 ‘The All Out Show’ and talked about not only promoting his newly released album ‘Recovery’, but also his reunion with fellow Detroit emcee and member of super group ‘Slaughterhouse’ Royce Da 5’9″.

When Eminem debuted in the mainstream with his 1999 album The Slim Shady LP, along with Dr. Dre and Dina Rae, Royce Da 5’9″ was one other of the three artists that only featured on the LP. In fact, during that time, Royce served not only as the burgeoning rap star’s hype man, but also as one half of the duo Bad Meets Evil, whose eponymous track was featured on The SSLP.

After a falling out with Dr. Dre and subsequently Eminem himself, it was nearly a decade before Royce and Shady squashed their beef.

He goes to say: “That shit is cool, it’s very cool. It’s good that we were able to work things out, just talk it out. I think after we lost Proof, we realized how stupid this beef shit is. It was a serious wakeup call in realizing that life’s short.

“It’s a good thing. It feels good to be back in touch with the homie,” added Shady. “Royce is fucking ill. He’s one of the illest lyricists to me.”

Meanwhile, Paul Rosenberg (Em’s manager) discussed and revealed that Shady Records are “working very hard” on getting Slaughterhouse signed to the label. Sweet.

As always, leave some regular interesting thoughts.

About RamZ

You may know me from nowhere, and that's okay. Along with helping expand the interest in ' The Epic Network', the sister site of 'The Koalition', I am also a lyricist, a trainee in Capoeira, fan in both movies and music itself with a hint of gaming, snowboarder, Graphic Design student (in training or not, I'll let my work decide) and um...errm...hmm...guess you could say a somewhat decent dude. That again depends on so and so. If you have an urge to contact me regards to the site, or above interest, or anything other than to say I suck, feel free to via rameez@theepicnetwork.com

  1. Swiff says:

Shady Records NEEDS Slaughterhouse, because besides D12 (who hardly release music) and 50 Cent of course (joint with aftermath/interscope), who else does he have?

  2. RamZ says:

What happened to Obie Trice? =P

  3. G-Swaby says:

He got dropped….Interscope forced Aftermath/Shady/G-unit to drop loads of artists. Thats why Lloyd Banks n Tony Yayo aint signed no more. And Obie Trice, Stat Quo Bobby Creekwater ect… are all off of Shady now.

Cut backs due to low record sales in the music industry I guess.

  4. RamZ says:

Well obie was shit anyways. Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo still with G-Unit though right? wouldn’t have thought Fiddy to drop them?

rebuilding Shady records will be good for him though, obviously it don’t seem like he’s gonna retire anytime soon but you can see he’s getting mature and what not.

Plus, ANYTHING to block out Diddy’s “Dream Team” PLEASE!
