The song features some nice production from OneHunnid, I really like how the beat and the vocals from HiLL WiLL flow together so naturally. The song, though it’s too short for my liking feels real legit and It has me wanting to hear more from both HiLL WiLL and his crew PHRED DIAMOND. The hip-hop quintet known as PHRED DIAMOND (pronounced FRED DIAMOND)
is composed of 5 artists with 5 completely different views,
personalities and philosophy’s on life, hoping to change the world one
verse at a time. “PHRED” is an acronym for
“people-hardly-remember-everyone-dead”. Using the fuel of their lost
love ones as inspiration for every song, you can feel the emotion
poured into every verse, chorus, and hard thumping beat this group
produces. Hailing from the Maryland (DMV) area, the group consists of
Knox Diamond, Hill Will, Mani, Profit Tusane and Sandman. Their first
clutch of the microphone was 9 years ago when they were asked to rap
for the very first time amongst local MC’s. June 4, 2010 the group
released their first mix tape entitled “NOWALATERS”. The title
reflects the group’s confidence and insinuates that listeners will
either become instant fans now or will eventually succumb to the
group’s musical genius. PHRED DIAMOND represents the DMV area
(DC/MD/VA) which rarely receives recognition in the music industry,
especially in the rap/hip-hop genre. “We make songs about our
adventures and discoveries in our area. We want to tell the world
about our reality as 5 average brothers with a gift for making great
music. If you can connect, then come and rock with us.” When asked to
describe their music the group replied, “Our music is designed to put
you in a caddy on 24′s and take you on a tour of the DMV”. The
development of this group’s unique style is the result of a lifetime
of great musical influence.

Speaking to MTV News, Timbaland confirmed: Me and Missy are both coming with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June. “Right now, we’re preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time. We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously.”

To release a single spontaneously would have been not to confirm that you are recording one in the first place. Nonetheless, both Missy and Timbaland have continued to produce music between solo projects, with the duo most-notably last together on a collaboration with Demi Levato’s “All Night Long” from the singer’s 2011 album “Unbroken.”

He continues in mentioning: “I just don’t want to move too ahead of her and she don’t want to move too ahead of me,” explained Timbaland. “So we’re both doing it at the same time.” Aw…

We mentioned it before and this is personally speaking; Big K.R.I.T. is one artist (and most likely the only artist this year) who we are hoping good things from. “Boobie Miles” shows a bit of promise regards to what this artist is capable of, and judging by previous material that K.R.I.T. has provided he should be an instant classic upon his official debut. That is, if Def Jam let him continue to do what he do.

This is probably the shortest article I have done yet, but it is simply a freestyle, it is Common, so there is not much more needed to be said. Checkout the track below and let us know your thoughts – BlackBerry needed? Or not really?

Whilst the verses are decent, they are not the best we’ve heard from Joell Ortiz himself. The fact the Slaughterhouse member is open to experimenting is a fine trait to hold amongst an artist, but in this case it’s very difficult to find a chemistry between the voice of Joell Ortiz and this beat. Typically, the song is about money and how Joell wants it, has it, did stuff with it, and so on. Personally speaking; when an artist brags about thinking they’re safe from economical crisis, it tends to degrade an artists appearance as a whole.

The main bait of this track however is that hook, which is unfortunately causing bleeding ears across the hip-hop fields. Adding a hook as such at the beginning of the track is risky at times, and the follow up verse from Joell Ortiz did not really help make the situation better. Also by calling yourself ‘iFFY The Bad Man’ you are bound to get zero respect amongst many that can raise an eyebrow.

Speaking to Nah Right, Drake mentioned wouldn’t record another diss track towards Common, saying instead that this was all done because he used the beef to promote his latest album, “The Dreamer, The Believer.” quoted to say: despite how it’s been worded by him that situation is not a ‘hip hop moment’ or a ‘battle for the sake of musical integrity’…it’s a ploy for attention around the release of an album, more than anything it was just disappointing cause what kid isn’t a fan of what Common has done for our genre. A guy who made such an incredible career for himself based off expressing genuine feelings about life and love is now targeting me for sharing my story.”

With Drake likely ignoring real reasons to why the beef was started in the first place, he moved on to discussing his plans for a tour this year as well as he has already started recording new music.

“I have begun working on new music already and I’ll be recording during the whole college tour with 40. Making better music and building myself as a business is all that’s on my mind. Hopefully some acting as well.”

So the beef has ended, for now. Time and time again we hear an artist from Young Money/Cash Money weasel their way out of a beef only to then intentionally go back in and deny themselves, so it would not be surprising if Drake has a few extra words to say about the Chi-town legend upon new music releases. The track, produced by King Coz, features New Jersey native Chris Powell. Both artists go in on consciousness of social realities as well as normal the deep lyricism is always there. It’s a nice combination between the two artists, and the words spoken are of, at times, truth in outcomes.

As someone who slightly enjoyed Pink Friday, I’m begging Nicki to give us something different. Some day she’ll get older and her adorable looks won’t do it for everybody any longer, I’d like to think when that day comes she’ll have something more to offer. I may sound harsh, but if you speak to any of my colleagues they’ll tell you about my not so secret crush on Nicki Minaj and that’s why I wish she would drop the gimmick and make music.

In the midst of SOPA and PIPA protests, it was reported via Associaed Press that feds in Virginia have put a lockdown on Megaupload, charging the founder, Kim Dotcom, and several other amongst working with the site for violating piracy laws. The indictment claims that the site has costed “copyright holders more than $500 million in lost revenue from pirated films and other content.”

Once the 13th most trafficked site in the world (random knowledge for you there), Swizz Beatz had recruited artists such as Kanye West and Diddy to appear in videos to promote the site. In the end it is kind of funny, with the SOPA bill being such a big threat yet an easier living life apparently for the likes of music artists to make money, here you have Swizz Beatz a part of the whole music industry answering to the board of directors to a site that “shares” music and movies for free. Never really was the best role model.
