While it’s half time at the Superbowl Smack delivers this heated battle between New Jersey’s Tsu Surf and Chicago’s Big T. In other Smack news, they just held their V.I.P event earlier today which featured some great battles. From what I’ve been hearing John John Da Don Vs. Bill Collector and Charlie Clips Vs. X-Factor were classics. Hopefully we’ll see those battles sometime in the future, for now check out this battle and let us know who you thought won.

Don’t Flop Rap Battle: Bamalam Vs. Phest

Another battle from Don’t Flop’s 1st Quarter Tryout event, in which I attended. (If you look on Bamalam’s side, I’m right behind the lady up front). This was a pretty good battle, Bamalam showed his thing, and don’t sleep on Phest. Battle rap isn’t easy to pull off but these Don’t Flop newcomers did their thing.

For the first video release of King of the Dot‘s historic Blackout 2 event, we have two battle emcees who have both been off for about a year Hollohan (Dartmouth Nova Scotia) and Cortez (Brooklyn NY). This match-up was scheduled to happen at Vengeance last March but due to legal issues had to be rescheduled until Blackout 2. This battle is co-hosted by Raekwon and Epic Meal Time. Here is the final battle from the two on two tournament which was held at Don’t Flops Blood In The Water event at the end of last year. These are all popular names, with Uno Lavoz,Real Deal and Fresco all appearing previously in Grindtime. Oshea is arguably the best the UK has to offer as far as battle rap, so this promises to be an interesting mix of styles. Check it out.

I’ve been waiting to see this battle for months, and it’s finally here thanks to Seneca Cayson. I haven’t watched yet as I was quick to get this posted up once I saw it, but I’m about to gather some Doritos and dip right now because this is sure to be a classic battle. URL TV drop another battle from their Motor City Mayhem line up. Both these MC’s were previously seen on the URL Proving Grounds, which acts as a profile builder for new MC’s. This is both MC’s first battle on the main stage of a URL event, and you can bet they’ll impress.

DON’T FLOP – Rap Battle – Suus Vs Tricky P

Here’s another battle from Don’t Flop’s Blood In The Water event. Newcastle’s Suus takes on Canada’s Tricky P in a very unorthodox battle.

On a sidenote I attended the Don’t Flop 1st Quarter 2012 try-outs yesterday, and there were some pretty intense battles. It was great to see some of the upcoming talent in Don’t Flop first hand. Look out for the footage on Don’t Flop.

@HollowDaDon Voted The Epic Network’s Best Battle Rapper By Our Readers

For the past month we’ve had up a poll asking our readers to vote for their “Best Battle Rapper” award. The nominees were Arsonal, Calicoe, Conceited, Dizaster, Hollow Da Don, T-Rex and The Saurus. These nominees were based on a selection of some of the best battle rappers out now. Hollow Da Don won with 50% of the vote, with Arsonal coming in second place with 30%.

Dizaster and T-Rex didn’t fair as well as I would have hoped, along with Hollow those are also two of my favourite Battle rappers. I believe that if Hollow Da Don and Dizaster ever square off, it will be the best battle in history.

Hollow Da Don is truly a beast of an MC, with his ability to not only write amazing unorthodox bars, but also mix in freestyles completely off the dome and not skip a beat.

In honour of Hollow winning the poll, here is my personal favourite Hollow Da Don battle for your enjoyment.
