Look out for more cameos from Floyd’s best friend 50 Cent.

In Stan Lee’s words: “The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger. We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. We’re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.”

Despite it coming out for 2012, it seems some people are over excited about the project, thus releasing a three minute trailer for the animated series now, which you can checkout below:

I dunno about you but why do robots need money? Also there’s something that needs to be said when a cartoon as such involving Arnold Schwarzenegger has Black Eyed Peas – Pump It playing as your trailer song. While the animation seems nice, sort of, I think this really is for the die-hard fans to appreciate of the Governor of California.

Course this could be the most elaborated April Fools Joke I’ve seen.

Then they released a photo of what Wonder Woman will look like, to which they gave her leggings. That and also Adrianne Palicki looked embarrassed herself wearing the suit. It looked like a cheap Halloween costume. At this point you’d have thought NBC will rethink their plans with the already negative response.

NOPE! They instead started filming, and released photos of Adrianne Palicki donning the suit and doing the infamous run? where the “upper chest” area “jiggles”? Where really all thhttp://www.theepicnetwork.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpe photos seem to prove is that you’re being chased by a die-hard Cosplayer after you stole her lasso of truth made out of dental floss. She falls over too, oh the ditz, but not before she too falls into the trap of pulling off a blue steel pose constantly.

I get the feeling NBC WANT THIS TO FAIL, partly because the new president of the motion picture group at Warner Bros., Jeff Robinov, has stated his first priority is to make a Justice League movie happen, thus bringing a Flash plus Wonder Woman movie a life (whilst also rebooting Batman again once it is done). Also, people have been going on about wanting to see Wonder Woman again and I feel NBC are I dunno…sexist? Thus ultimately thinking “no woman can be a superhero, they all act like this” to which is their ‘vision’ of Wonder Woman.

Well now the few images below show of this actually being a reality – but in webisode form. Director Kevin Tancharoen, who is known for mainly being a dynamic director on MTV shows, was the man who created the short “Mortal Kombat: Rebirth” which featured Michael Jai White as ‘Major Jackson’ Jax Briggs and Jeri Ryan as ‘Lieutenant’ Sonya Blade…and some guy as Scorpion. Via Kevin’s Twitter, those three actors are indeed confirmed again for these webisodes, as well as the images below show off Scorpion, extra characters and a bloody spine, most likely from a ‘fatality’. Smart. Kano is confirmed in the images, played by Darren Shahlavi, and apparently of the female it is only described as “Blue is not Kitana”. Not sure if that is a play with words or what but…its been intriguing.

I’m actually thinking this could be okay, in the previous post I did kind of insult the idea, but being it a complete fan-made theme the possibilities are endless, and there have no doubt been some excellent short movies by fans in the past, such as the 3 minute Street Fighter clip which surfaced online couple of years back displaying Ryu plus Ken in a showdown.

Its quite an impressive cast with Elijah Wood as Beck, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Paige, Mandy Moore as Mara, Nate Corddry as Zed, Lance Henriksen as Tesler, Paul Reubens as Pavel, Reginald VelJohnson as Able and being able to keep hold of Bruce Boxleitner reprising his role as Tron. I thought this was to be a comic – still probably is and I have yet to notice – but the animation itself with classic drawn blending into CGI effects of Tron itself is a neat thing. It looks tempting to watch just to see how it all really fits through with the actual storylines.

Courtesy of David E. Kelley (creator of Ally McBeal), his pilot script plus concept has been purchased by TV channel NBC, and now the search for a top director to helm the hopeful show is on to bring the vision to life on TV.

The apparent favourite? Recent director of the new ‘Terminator:Salvation’ and ‘Charlie’s Angels’ own McG, who is wanted most to helm the show’s pivotal pilot episode (the one that establishes the identity of the show), and will hopefully get an entire season picked up.

Could kind of make sense, McG has been around the TV series block for a good while now directing the pilot to action-hit TV show ‘Chuck’, as well as lending a helping hand to ‘Nikita’ and ‘Supernatural’. However recently McG was signed to Universal’s massive summer hopeful project of ‘Ouija’, so the question really would be if McG actually has time to fiddle about with Wonder Woman…saying that, who wouldn’t fiddle with Wonder Woman?

The Philadelphia-born star has announced he will be producing two television shows, one of them being his 2005 adaptation “Hitch” in which he starred in alongside Eva Mendes and Kevin James playing the role of love-maker, per say. Along with that, Will Smith plans to team with China’s Eva Jin for his second TV show plans, which is an action series following the life of a crime-fighting college student. Fair enough.

At the moment there is no confirmation of networks picking up the idea, it is fairly new after all. I can see the Hitch one working out though, people still watch the movie to this day and feel they relate, which they don’t, but you know never destroy hopes and dreams. If Eva Mendes starred in say, every episode, I think my eyes would be glued to watching. But since that isn’t gonna be, maybe an Epic Network favourite Mayra Leal can be the female star, considering that one: she’s absolutely gorgeous, and two: has similar traits (maybe better) than Eva herself.

Who knows, maybe you guys can think of a ideal cast, or you think new actors will step up to the plate? Will it even be a success in your eyes? Let us know with your comments below.

Whilst those named movies have been biography/drama based moments, taking on a project such as ‘The Dark Tower’ will be a different ball game for the director. The seven-book novel can be described as taking fantasy elements similar to that of ‘Lord Of The Rings’ whilst blending with it some western-style influence. For Ron Howard it will be a unique approach, which he himself knows the task ahead of him with three movies as well as two television series to bridge them all.

“It’s different to anything I’ve ever done and in really interesting ways” says Ron when speaking with Hero Complex. “There’s this entire world and all of these references and there are the books and the graphic novels and just talking to Stephen and it’s all this ongoing conversation with the material and it’s really exciting.

“In all of it, he leaves a lot open to interpretation and so it gives a great deal of latitude.”

When talking on the difficulty of capturing the pages of Kings’, the art of the novel and adapting them to the big screen, he went on to say: “Filmically, there are tones in this that I have never used before, tones of fantasy menace and elements of horror and real fear. And there’s the burden, on the characters, of this journey that is really palpable. That’s what we need to get on the screen. I think there’s something about [the Frank Darabont films] ‘Green Mile’ or a ‘Shawshank Redemption,’ the complexity and the ballast of them, those are two [of the Stephen King adaptations] where you do get the horror and suspense that’s there on the page. We’re charging ourselves with the responsibility of getting a real understanding of the material and utilizing many of the best aspects of the books and graphic novels.”

Whatever the process, it is one movie to be sure to add to your checklist of “movies to watch out for” as this could visually be something amazing, or just plainly disappointing. This movie has only just started in production so only time will tell.
