Just like Spider-Man, Fantastic Four is another Marvel movie which is taking a kick up the backside and a new reboot with the title “Fantastic Four Reborn”, and other than a target of Summer 2012 and a confirmation of 3D, there’s not much else going on…That is, until 20th Century Fox laid out their three main choices to direct the movie.
David Yates, Joe Carnahan and James McTeigue are the three candidates it seems, each one dealing with heavy box office numbers. David Yates finishing up with “Harry Potter,” Joe Carnahan re-assembled the “A-Team,” and James McTeigue succeeded “V For Vendetta”. Each director bring their own specialty into the game however, Yates with his more into drama feel, whilst Carnahan could be a favourite for the fans with his all-out, in your face action. I would personally favour McTeigue however, as I can picture a little bit of a gritty Fantastic Four going on…
As for casting, whilst we are unlikely to see the ever-gorgeous Jessica Alba don the skin-tight suit (picture above please), the whispers going round is that Bruce Willis is to play as “The Thing” this time round…yeah, that would be the day…
All in all let us know what you think about the reboot – good move or bad? Also, who is your perfect cast for Fantastic Four? Comments below…
