Now that every known superhero from Marvel has been crammed into the likes of “The Avengers” and yet to make their appearances (Thor & Captain America), or even being rebooted again (Spider-Man) and getting a prequel (X-Men: First Class), it seems now Marvel is bringing on the second string of superheroes that we have no clue about or are about to go say “How can you not know him?? So underrated!”. First Ant-Man, and now enters Iron Fist…

So who is Iron Fist you say? (Or already saying “yes can’t wait!!”), he has actually been around in the mid 70s, real identity named Danny Rand, son of a wealthy explorer who trains in the mystical arts and eventually gains the power of the legendary Iron Fist by the common act of having a fist fight with a dragon and going a little too far in punching straight into the Dragon’s mystical molten heart, which eventually fused within him and gave magical fighting power that gives him indestructible fists. First using the power after his father’s death, Rand continued to bear the mantle in the fight against evil.

In the current “New Avengers” comic book, Iron Fist is apart of the group with the side of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Mockingbird and The Thing (of the Fantastic Four). More popularly, Iron Fist is more known with teaming with Luke Cage (who is also rumoured to have his own film going on) in “Power-Man” comics.

Marvel have brought in writer Rich Wilkes, best known for the XXX series. No not porn series, grow up. Despite the either shrugs or punching fist-in-the-air moments, the fact these new superhero movies are being made is already fueling rumours about Marvel maybe penning a possible “Avengers 2″ movie…could that be the story of the brilliant “Civil War”? Speculate please…

No word on who will play the role, but names have been thrown about the likes of Channing Tatum, Tom Hardy, Sam Worthington…Chris Evans name has even been thrown in, but that will just piss everyone off.

Epic Network will keep up-to-date with this as soon anything is heard. In the meantime, let us know what you think – Iron Fist a good move? Who would want to see don the powerful fist fighter?
