Earlier Lloyd Banks revealed his new record deal, as well as the release date for his anticipated third album “Hunger For More 2″. Banks revealed that the album would be dropping on the 23rd of November, which is great for all the Lloyd Banks fans. The only problem is, that is the same day Nicki Minaj makes her debut with Pink Friday. Lloyd Banks is well known for writing songs and verses about dealing with women, but now he will face perhaps his greatest challenge at the hands of a female. We all know that Nicki Minaj has mainstream appeal, and just being a female is enough to ensure her success. But will Banks be able to at least pull off an effective number of sales for HFM 2? We all know the embarrassing numbers that rappers have been doing sales wise lately, like Fat Joe for example, who sold around 5,000 his first week for The Darkside Vol1.

With some effective marketing I am sure Banks will be able to do some suitable numbers, but I truly do not see him outselling Nicki Minaj. A wise man once said “Never say never” however, so thus I will leave the opportunity open for me to be surprised. All I will say is that I hope 50 Cent has something up his sleeve to make sure that Banks will not suffer the same fate as Fat Joe on Novermber 23rd.
