At the moment I type this Lupe Fiasco is sending a rampage of messages towards Prolyfic via the power that is: Twitter.
Literally moments early in the day we posted up Prolyfics Tweeting rant along with my rant NOT AGAINST the awesome Lupe, but wanted to share an opinion. I will add to what I want to say more here because, well, I can, whether you actually read or not. The tweets included harsh words towards Lupe saying he no longer is making hits, his situation with Mixtapes and also Lupe’s attitude towards leaks and fans.
But right now it seems Lupe has words of his own to say, which is starting to look interesting. Check it out:
* – Oh word?…I thought I was banned???…guess I’m needed after all hahaha…
* – PRO!…my man…ur not my manager…fall back…take all that “advice” and further your career with it…
* – You put yourself on the outside…so don’t be salty now that your being treated like an outsider…
* – My career is mine. And I’ll proceed with it how I wish. Your ignorant to my situation and why WE move how WE do. Speak what you know…
* – Not what you think you know…becuz frankly you know very little. But I KNOW you lil bro, I’m the reason they even know you at all…
* – I pray you sell a few beats the same way your selling yourself right now. When the music stops who’s gonna have a chair to sit in?
* – So FUCK what pro say…look @ this protest…if that ain’t a sign of success then i don’t what is…and you DEFINITELY don’t know…
* – To remind you lil bro. 1 Grammy, 9 Grammy Nods, 2 Gold Albums, 1 platinum single, 10+ World Tours, a WORLDWIDE Fanbase of ALL AGES…

* – Funny how some people hate when others start showing love (petition!)…how is showing love corny? Damn…u wonder why we lost…
* – Wonder Why they don’t respect and write off our generation…we proving them right…fuck me and my raps…I’m just a small part of it…
* – The point of it all is that these kids don’t grow up with just one side of the story…we gotta do better or we’re gonna lose…

I think his ranting has stopped, but that is one reason I like Lupe Fiasco, the man just does what he prefers. He hasn’t changed himself and is always original. Prolyfic may have been right on a couple of things, but reading it over and over what he said it really feels like he’s held a grudge and really thought the direction Lupe Fiasco has gone isn’t the one he himself expected – hence comparing Lupe to Gucci Mane, Lil’ Wayne, Drake…which by the way is no competition what so ever.
More to say at a later time but…its late here for me, and early for Americans, pssh…Let us know what you think – Prolyfic or Lupe?
P.S. I also urge people to sign the petition prove a point that every artist deserve a moment an not be held back like this. Whether we love or hate them, we still deal with them and need the sounds in our life so…indeed, click, sign. DO IT!
