The fact Comic-Con brings out the geek in so many, makes it embarrassing for rudeboy wannabes not to wanna enjoy knowing about upcoming things happening. As said before, so much happened at the event in San-Diego, unsurprisingly, Marvel are usually the ones who don the stage. So to keep their momentum high they unleashed a flurry of news and props and footage’s for the lucky fans able to make the panel and in general just be there.
First up, news of announced cast members that will be in The Avengers are Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner, who are confirmed to play the roles of Hulk and Hawkeye. Along with the confirmation last week that Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Serenity, Firefly) will indeed direct The Avengers, this announcement was made by Iron Man himself (Robert Downey Jr.) before a teaser was shown of ‘The First Avenger: Captain America’ was viewable for saliva dropping fans (no clip surfacing yet, but Youtube is bound to have something soon). He described The Avengers as “the most ambitious movie ever”, before introducing Renner and Ruffalo to the stage.
Ruffalo is the man then replacing Edward Norton, facing a difficult task to don the purple panted – green giant. You think he’s good enough? In the meantime checkout this interview provided by OntheRedCarpet.com of Joss Whedon at Comic-Con, their embed code isn’t working however…so to go see the passion he has, click here
Also, checkout these photo’s below of Captain America’s iconic Shield, as well as the Infinity Gauntlet from Thor which both were actually used in the film. Also, confirmation of Destroyer being in Thor was made by director Kenneth Branagh, and was also available to see:
If a clip of Captain America surfaces around (which I believe features most Hugo Weaving speaking, who is to play as the villain Red Skull) I will put it up, unless you yourselves have seen it? Let us know. But finally, the image of the complete Avengers casting all standing together for the audience at Comic-Con:
Next two years will be interesting for sure. Give us your thoughts – Which one you really want to see? Whedon gonna do awesome? Ruffalo a good replacement?
