When people think of dead hip hop legends the same two come to mind, Biggie and Pac. But nobody ever mentions Big L, and I admit I’m salty about it. Not only was this guy one of the most talented MC’s in the 90′s, but he was damn near a pioneer of punchline rap. From rapping with Children of the Corn; which was his group with childhood friends Mase and Cam’ron, to almost being signed to Roc-a-fella records in 1999, Big L killed a lot of tracks in his career. Unfortunately he was gunned down and killed in Harlem in 1999, and Hip Hop suffered greatly. Check out Put It On below, which was one of his singles from “Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous” in 1995.
