X-Men: First Class looks set to start filming soon enough, casting news is still to go on mind you, but one actress who’s solidify her position in the movie is Jennifer Lawrence, who is set to play the blue shape-shifter Mystique.

Coming out of the highly rated Indie movie ‘Winter’s Bone’, Lawrence talks about the sudden rush to already prepare in character and ink up the blue skin, to which she is catching on.

Talking with Orlando Sentinel, she says: “When I got the part I dedicated a whole day to watching all three movies, and I really liked them. I was still a little worried, because I didn’t really understand the whole mutant thing. But the script cleared some of my questions up, and knowing that James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender were already on board gave me confidence.”

She could not say much it seems when it comes to what we’re expecting of Mystique, only giving details of what her preparation to become…blue.

She says: “I have to do 12 hours of prosthetics. Oh man.

“I have to take Mystique back to the beginning, before she became who we saw later. I don’t know exactly what I can talk about, but this is going to be fun.”

“NOBODY looks good blue. Well, maybe Zoe Saldana. I am very curious to see how I’m going to come off in that suit.”

We’re pretty sure she can pull it off herself. For the full interview click here. Let us know what you think
