Now, as a big fan of Lupe Fiasco, in fact he is my favourite rapper, fans along with me can agree that L.A.S.E.R.S has been delayed or pushed back or not fairly treated for too long.

“The fans have been waiting for the release [of] Lupe Fiasco’s album Lasers for over a good year now,” the letter begins. “Since it was originally announced finished last summer, there has still yet to be a release date announced. It has even been stated by Lupe Fiasco the artist himself, that the album is in fact completed. Enough is enough, we demand that you stop playing around and give us the album that we have been highly anticipating since the release of The Cool.”

Fans (or even haters) over at the likes of Lupefiasco.com, the Lupend blogspots, Facebook page of Michael Young History are now sending out a website of an official petition to sign and tell Atlantic records to basically, give a release date for the damn album already.

Which I don’t blame them, Lupe Fiasco was said to be a breath of fresh air in the Hip Hop world, both Food & Liquor plus The Cool were great albums which were under-looked by mindless trend-following people and companies (*cough* MTV *cough*) but nonetheless garnered a strong set of fans.

Now however, after announcing himself about literally a year and a half ago that his third album, L.A.S.E.R.S (Love Always Shine Everyday, Remember 2 Smile) was finished, people are pointing towards Atlantic Records for the blame of still not releasing the album.

Right now rather than listening to ‘False’ Rick Ross, Diddy, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and some other shits (yeah I said it), we could have already had a great artist who speaks real with a great rhythm playing on our systems. Lupe Fiasco deserves way more better recognition, and deserves to be heard on the same level as all other artists.

The online petition has been launched for a few days, and is currently 7,138 signatures. visit here to add your signature, or do you disagree? And not wish to hear Lupe Fiasco any further?
