Record Labels Sue Porn Sites

Though I would guess that when someone watches porn, its natural people focus on the scenes. People working at record labels however, when they focus on porn, they watch and then go “hey! That’s our song! I’m going to sue!” after ten-forty minutes later.

That is exactly what 11 Record Labels did. The likes of Bad Boy Records, Elektra, Atlantic and Warner Brothers have all filed lawsuits against adult entertainment industries RealityKings and RK Netmedia for using their songs in porn movies

Songs such as Justin Timberlake’s ‘SexyBack’, Michael Jackson’s ‘Don’t Stop (Til You Get Enough)’ (you can only imagine the scene in that one!) and Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’ have been used as background music in various adult films, while “models or actors are performing their scenes”. The 18-page lawsuit suggests that in some cases the titles of the films have taken their inspiration directly from the songs, such as one called ‘Bringing Sexy Back’.

It also states that sometimes, “performers ‘lip-sync’ the lyrics of a song while engaged in intercourse or other sexual activity”. What type of porn are they watching? The record labels are demanding $150,000 for each copyright infringement listed in the suit.

Ah, hypocrites…Let us know what you think of this.
