As was posted on The Koalition (AKA our big brother site), Jay-Z finally let out a verse regarding to the rumours he’s an Illuminati freak, hitting back (seemingly) at the whispers in which people say he is a Devil worshipper.

Earlier in the year ‘Hov’ (where did that nickname come from?) explained on Power 105.1 radio how people assume when stars make money out of nowhere, such as himself, Tom Cruise and Will Smith, fans automatically think it is because they sold their soul to the Devil.

Checkout the track:

Rick Ross – Free Mason by SpecialBlend

“N—as couldn’t do nothing with me, they put the devil on me,” Jay raps. “I would have preferred n—as squeeze the metal on me/ Rumors of Lucifer, I don’t know who to trust/ The whole world wants my demise, turn the music up.

“If y’all n—as fear me, just say y’all fear me,” he adds. “F— all these fairy tales/ Go to hell, this is God engineering/ … I said I was amazing/ Not that I’m a Mason …/ I’m on my third six, but a devil I’m not. …”

The song is started by Rick Ross (no one cares about him) and supplied with extra vocals by John Legend, and since its leak/release, it has no doubt become one of the most talked about tracks.

Now for me, the whole Illuminati theory is hard to follow/understand, I like musicians though I do not believe they’re God, and from all the people going psycho about artists selling their soul, the thoughts of those is that we are following Illuminati if we think these artists are our God. The way people argue it though is as if we can’t listen to music anymore. Its rather irritating for people to sit there and type away their protest when if it bothers people that much: do something about it. We complain yet we listen still, its a never-ending circle.

That said, it doesn’t help when artists keep stirring up the topic. It doesn’t help when so called “proof” by the public say they have videos of the celebs saying they sold their soul. People at times will not understand a joke, or artists sometimes don’t understand speaking about it sooner rather than be an idiot about it. Or sometimes, the artists are a little cuckoo and really believe they are Devil worshiper which in this case, you let them be, and let them die slow through trying to gain something not there’s.

End of the day, we’ve all appreciated music beforehand, so whats made us question it now? Why has the stakes regards to Illuminati effects just all of a sudden become on of the most talked about things? What happened to the days we just said an artist was crap or great, rather than “that guy/girl is a devil worshiper, but I’m going to buy his/her music and listen to it and make him/her rich anyways because he/she got a few catchy tunes”?

Give us your thoughts, its been always an intriguing discuss I suppose. But what do you make of the song – Good? Explainable? Or a joke?
