Well it seems that Benjamin Walker did in fact withdraw from becoming Beast in the X-Men prequel set to be directed by Matthew Vaughn. At the moment rumours are flying around on who will replace and reasons why he left, but fear not, as Matthew Vaughn has already found a replacement, the man known as Nicholas Hoult…

The actor from the stupidly popular show ‘Skins’ as well as big screen performances in ‘Clash Of The Titans’, ‘A Single Man’ and post production ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ doesn’t exactly seem…Beastly enough. But given the chance I suppose he would seem ready to take on any challenge handed onwards to him.

Nicholas joins the few other Brit-based talents that have been recruited for this movie, with James McAvoy to play as Professor X, and rumours of Aaron Johnson moving ever closer to becoming the young Cyclops.

In additional casting news, Caleb Landry Jones has been given the the role of scream-freak mutant Banshee, and Lucas Till (pictured above) has been given the role of Cyclops younger brother, Havok.

The Academy and rivals are quickly brewing, and the announcements seem to get closer and closer on who plays who. Let us know who you think – Who would make a great mutant in the First Class? Think Emma Stone as Jean Grey could work? I think so…
