Please don’t let this be true…But according to ‘Showbiz411′ Twilight actor Taylor Lautner is reportedly being lined-up to star in the next X-Men movie. The website claims that the wolfman with apparently magical abs to twi-fans has been in check with 20th Century Fox in regards to his availability for the X-Men prequel.

The website also claims that the studio has been inspired by the success of the Twilight franchise by recruiting the help of other young actors to join Lautner when the movie is expected to start shooting this summer. So all of a sudden the movie has to revolve around Taylor Lautner?

What makes this news sound more stupid is that reports also claim that Benjamin Walker, who rumoured to be playing X-Men character ‘The Beast’, has dropped out of the production due to the ‘uncertainty surrounding casting choices.’ Why would he drop out just mere weeks being casted? and to believe James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are ‘uncertain choices’ is ridiculous to think.

I had mentioned how entertainment news lately has been nothing but the likes of Twilight, Justin Beiber, Cheryl Cole, Lady Gaga…and this is being one of them. Its not that I don’t like Taylor Lautner, I actually don’t care about him. But it’s the idea of seeing him as Cyclops or Iceman, which are the most likely roles that he could be given if this were to be true. It wouldn’t work, you can just imagine all the studio wants him to do is just walk around shirtless and all over again we can imagine ‘TEAM ICEMAN!’ or ‘TEAM CYCLOPS!’ going on crazily all over again with X-Men, which isn’t a sappy franchise, so no. No Lautner please…and please to the likes of MTV, report some good stuff for once in your life, as for Showbiz411 – why do you have stupid ads which do not mute!?

But, thats my thoughts, maybe the people will want to see Jacob the wolf as a mutant? Let us know.
