Now, I haven’t seen the first one. I wanted to but I got a lot of mixed reaction, half saying its fantastic; its a sleepy horror which heavily relies on jumpy imagery and sound editing attempting to provide a fairly uneasy atmosphere and creep us all out. Then the other half said it was more a comedy than a horror, and that it was not scary at all.

But the main reason I did not go, was because I had no one to go with. Sad I know but SUCH IS LIFE.

Whatever the reaction, it still has done well enough to garner a sequel, and Paramount Studios have the first trailer of Paranormal Activity 2 launched. No word yet on the story plot, if it did even have one (again a criticism from the people who hated it) but from the trailer, it kind of reminds me of a poltergeist feel with the baby and the dog.
