The casting seems to be nicely building now with regards to X-Men: First Class, as now Alice Eve has signed on to play telepath Emma Frost and joins the likes of James McAvoy (Prof. X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), and Benjamin Walker (Beast) as fellow classmate.

The actress was last seen in Sex And The City 2 and She’s Out Of My League. Her role as Emma Frost is partly unknown at the moment, from what we know of the character, Emma Frost was a former member of The Hellfire Club, a group of bad mutants. Frost isn’t shy to being flirtatious and to show what she’s got, even giving Mystique a run for her money in the flesh-flashing department. In terms of abilities, she is also able to turn her skin into hardened diamonds that protect her from attack (and hence the name).

Frost first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #129 as a member of the X-Men. She quickly made her mark by having an affair with Scott Summers (Cyclops) while he was married to Jean Grey. Oh Scott, what you thinking? Whilst that love triangle would unlikely appear in the movie, with producer Bryan Singer stating that the flick will focus mostly on Magneto and Prof X, it could be an interesting sub-plot, depending on I guess how well it can fit in and if you think about possible sequels to it afterwards…

The character Emma Frost did make an appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, in which at that time she was played by Tahyna Tozzi, and was also a disappointing movie as it was.
