It’s not looking great once again regards to the Game’s upcoming album R.E.D. After constant delays before hand to finally land a 24th August release, that date now could be hampered thanks to Desperado Entertainment filing a lawsuit

The company has filed a lawsuit at Interscope, Aftermath and Universal Music Group (UMG) that involves a royalty dispute with Rap artist Game himself. The LA-based company claims that UMG has not fulfilled their agreement to pay Desperado royalties from Game’s album sales.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the suit, filed in a Los Angeles superior court, asserts that Desperado had a role in Game’s early success, leading up to his three albums released through UMG, totalling five million units sold. The company is motioning to delay Game’s August 24 release of R.E.D., in an effort to address the matter.

Game and UMG has yet to speak publicly on the matter, or move the release date. An update should hopefully materialize in the next few weeks. In the meantime – Game must play patient, and hope he does not have to deal with another setback.
