Skepta – Oynama Sikidim Sikidim Video

Skeptas’ latest tune & video is out just days before his release of ‘Rescue Me’ (27th June), and errm…a bit confused:

“Here’s my friend, want my autograph, gimme a pen? OO R YOO? I WANNA LOOK AHT URR” some of the many talented lyrics thats conjured up. As soon as the grime beat gets taken out, the lyrics just sound unnatural. I can imagine the Turkish just blasting this in their car right now…something tells me in general, when I go back to University I am just gonna be hearing this a fair amount…

Its not that I don’t like this, its just something that doesn’t suit him I don’t think. Least the guy is experimenting but…hopefully that’s his limits. Oynama Sikidim Sikidim, I think in the Tarkan original tune? translated “don’t dance, don’t shake that body”, though I think on the other hand in general “Oynama” is the noun for “dancing” and sikidim is just…a spit which is apparently fun to say. The video consists a UK version of Lil Jon – rather than a pimp cup he has a pimp sparkler. Also, I keep thinking Skepta is some…Cuban-esque drug dealer, with the way he’s dressed. Plus, if I’m right on translating, surely the video just contradicts? I don’t…get it?

I’ll let you guys debate what you think. Whether its thought as Grime or not, Skepta in general hasn’t really gotten through to me, so be happy I’d post it up for you fans.

    I’m a Skepta fan lol.

    The thing about Skepta is, that he can go in when he really wants to. But other times his shit is so bad, odd or out of the ordinary that its likeable just cos it makes u laugh a bit inside.

    He’s the only dude who can make trash and make me actually listen to it.

    There’s two girls in that video that annoy me in this video I have realized…

    1. that girl doing those hand movements @:50, you notice how after that, you never see her again…stupid woman…

    2. that blonde haired woman, who is annoying to look at @:47, then @:52 seconds, singing the only lyrics she knows, then @1:02 getting her face time with her gap tooth. THEN! When Skepta goes introducing his friend @1:10 SHE SHOVES HER FACE IN! HE NEVER MEANT YOU BITCH!

    Also, is that guy holding prayer beads??
