Normally we would see Kelis mostly in headlines regards to album sales, unique style in breaking the rules of a typical genre. In recent months however it has been about her recent divorce with rapper Nas.

Divorces usually are a mess, and with famous people they love to milk the negative jabs at one another, and with rumours over Kelis and Nas arguing over child support. But recently speaking with Perez Hilton (ugh people still talk to him?) Kelis says it wasn’t really a vicious battle, or so SHE says…

“It wasn’t really a bitter divorce,” Kelis told Hilton. When asked if the two stars were on friendly terms, Kelis replied, “Sometimes.”

The singer also denied rumors that the exes had attempted to reconcile. “No, not reconciled in the sense that we were, like, back together. But we’d been together for, like, eight years.” Then as Perez Hilton is a nosey bastard, without getting punched Kelis spoke she is dating again. “Yeah, I am,” she replied. “For a little while, It’s going great” ” she added with a laugh.
The singer said her new guy is not a musician, but was coy when asked if he’s also a famous face, saying, “Well, I guess it depends who you’re asking.”
