Travie McCoy’s album “Lazarus” released last week on iTunes and a couple of interviews have appeared where he talks on the album, what the project was really for and how Lazarus was not really something of an upbeat project.

He goes on saying: “It’s just where I was at mentally. Art imitates life and I tend to write a lot about my experiences and things I’ve been through. And at the time, there was a lot of crazy stuff going on in my family; there was a couple deaths.

“All that was kind of creeping its way into the music and I was like, ‘I need to stop this right now.’ I’ve been known to kind of wear my heart on my sleeve so to speak. And this time around, I just wanted it to be fun.”

Expecting to hear some dark and and possibly light tales if that’s the case. No word on a UK release date but if you have got the chance to hear it, let us know what you think.
