Been awhile since anything could come of Kanye West, whether you love him or hate him, in a sense we have kinda missed his appearance in general (I think, I could possibly just be saying stuff). Since his antics from the last MTV Music Awards 2009 Kanye said on Jay Leno he would be taking a break, and then said some other crap like he’s on suicide watch, whatever.
But he did just that, taking a break. Past several months however have been news of Kanye working in Hawaii (Isn’t he lucky?) on new tracks/materials with music producers such as DJ Premier and Q-Tip. And only recently in New York, appeared in a club previewing some new tracks which seemingly had the fans go crazy.

Now we can hear the released/leaked track from Kanye’s new album Good Ass Job. The track, “Power”, features lyrics which vents the frustration going around, accompanied by a beat with awesome drum sounds and quite an edgy tune that you can bop your head to whilst going “yeah I’m feelin this”. Most importantly, there is no autotune in this track *high five*
Personally I’m kinda feelin this track. I think Hip-Hop should represent this type of emotion rather than the typical bullshit I am surrounded to hearing. There is a vibe in this song which Kanye WANTS you to listen, that he’s going “look I’m back, you WILL listen, I am not faltering, listen to what I’ve had to deal with whilst I was gone” and thus, raps it all out. Lyrics are pretty strong, typical Kanye structure but the words and the meaning is understandable.
His ego doesn’t seem to have wind down though, going on to say in his lyrics ‘They say I was the abomination of Obama’s nation,’ oh Kanye, you’re not that important to be considered an abomination, we all just only called you an idiot, silly Ye.
Also we hear him taking a shot at SNL (Saturday Night Live), as apparently the crew of the comedy sketch have had a fun time making fun of Ye’, especially after the Taylor Swift incident: “F— ‘SNL’ and the whole cast. Tell ‘em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass,” West declares. “More specifically they can kiss my a–hole/ I’m a a–hole?/ You n—as got jokes/You short-minded n—as’ thoughts is Napoleon/ My furs is Mongolian/ My ice brought the goalies in.”

Whether you love him or hate him, he was bound to be back. It’s gonna be interesting to see what Kanye can add to an already impressive year of music to anticipate. Check out the song “Power” below.
