I will be assigning certain rappers 2009 awards, as I am sure I can do a better job than MTV when it comes to rewarding rappers for their 2009 achievements. I would like to start out by assigning Tony Yayo the 2009 Mixtape artist of the year; now remember I am not saying he’s the most lyrical rapper, but as far as Mixtape consistency nobody has been on it like Tony Yayo this year. From S.O.D, to Black Friday, to Swine Flu to Gangsta’s Paradise, Yayo has put out nothing but heat. Also the fact that he has worked with some of the hottest rappers in the streets right now shows that Yayo is putting it down for the hood like never before.
