This is big news for battle rap fans… The man who had arguably one of the best diss tracks in history (Against LL Cool J) Canibus, is actually going to step into the ring with Dizaster, who is perhaps the best active battle rapper out there right now. Lush One formally of Grind Time made the announcement earlier today via this video:

This has the potential to be one of the best battle raps ever. Canibus in the past was considered to be one of the best lyricists in Hip Hop, there were a handful of Hip Hop forums dedicated to him when I started getting involved with the Internet, so I saw first hand how much Canibus was praised on the underground scene. We’ve never seen Canibus battle face to face, but he has a long history of going at MC’s on wax (including Eminem). What will the result be when he steps up against battle raps man of the moment Dizaster?
