Yesterday we reported that due to complaints amongst many, in regards to the sound quality of Bane when listening during the prologue of “The Dark Knight Rises” in IMAX theatres, director Christopher Nolan took to ‘tweaking’ the sounds of the movie overall in order for the villain Bane (played by Tom Hardy) to be understood more clear. Twenty-four hours later, and it looks like Warner Bros are hellbent in denying such claims…

First reported via Collider, they have now stated that their source of information was in fact, wrong, also saying Warner Bros contacted the site personally to say their original story is in fact untrue.

Confusion appears to have arisen over the fact that some IMAX cinemas were given a digital file to play on an analogue system. Furthermore, Warner is at pains to point out that this digital delivery would not have altered any background noise, or indeed, Bane’s delivery.

All this to perhaps not annoy Christopher Nolan, who’s been a dedicated director thus far to Warner Bros. team as it is, and made it clear from the beginning that he had no intentions of tinkering with Bane’s dialogue.

Whilst the sound to us at Epic Network was fine, to many more it will seem like a pain. Let us know your thoughts on this, and whether you are prepared to bring a hearing-aid to try and solve anything.
