This is a review from I am Tata
So ‘GAME’ is back with a new single ‘Pot Of Gold’ the video was shot on june 28th and was released on July 25th, its from his new album ‘The R.E.D album’ which is released on August 23rd. I decided to review this song/video whilst watchin 106&park on BET – I heard that he recorded this song for a positive message for his children. During the filming of this video , a producer got held up at gunpoint , he lost more than £12,000 in cash and jewellery, Game and Chris Brown was apparantly not present at this time.
The first thing I noticed is when Chris Brown sings at the start of this song you know its going to be a good song and what the song is about, I also noticed the chemistry between both the artists in the video and I think thats why its a HIT SONG, it sends out a positive message, and having Chris Brown singing the chorus means it can crossover to the pop listeners. I like the smooth sound this song has, the beat is not all in your face, both Game and Chris Brown’s voices really are perfect for this song.
The video is basically a reflection on The Game’s own life, reminiscing on ‘SIMPLER DAYS’, growing up in Compton, he raps in a room with Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and N.W.A posters. Its a simple video for a simple song and thats why it works.
If you haven’t got this song yet then go download it on itunes its only 99p (dont act like you cant afford it) and also get the album when its released in August.
