Soo this is my 1st review
First things first, Beyonce named her fourth album ‘4’ because its her favourite number, its the number of her birthday september 4th, her mum’s birthday January 4th, her husband Jay-z’s birthday December 4th and the date of her wedding anniversary.
Pushing Adele of the top spot. Beyonce is number 1 on the album chart and I can understand why. ‘4’ is a brilliant album. I can listen to the whole album without skipping tracks, there’s a empowerment feel to this album along with a old skool vibe on most of the songs which I love, each song is different, maybe there was a couple of tracks I had to get used to like ‘I Care’ and ‘Party’ but now I’m hooked. I have my favourite songs on the album, the song that really stood out to me is 1+1 its something I’ve never heard her sing apart from when she played Etta James in ‘caddilac Records’, its one of them songs that as soon as it comes on you know its something big! She knew what she was doing when she decided to put it as track number 1. I keep thinking maybe she could have done a couple more tracks that was more upbeat, but then I think no, because of the vibe this album has got. Every song that got chosen was the right choice!
I give this album a 10/10
This is a must have album!
