Tom Cruise is returning to the big screen with arguably his most notable role as the IMF agent, Ethan Hunt. The fourth film in the Mission Impossible series, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, is due out this December. Below you will find the first trailer for the new film, and it looks really awesome. The action seems really well done, the new casting additions to the series look on point, and I have a new found respect for Tom Cruise after seeing him perform some of his own stunts on top of the tallest building on earth the Burj Khalifa. It’s quite an impressive feat.

Ghost Protocol is directed by Brad Bird, director of The Incredibles and Ratatouille. He hasn’t directed a live action movie but the transition from animation to live action doesn’t seem problematic. I also have to admit I got a little giggly when I saw Jeremy Renner (Hurt Locker) and Josh Holloway (Lost) in the trailer. Look forward to seeing them kick some ass.
