The visuals to one of the highly anticipated Marvel movies is finally here. Directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, Layer Cake) ‘X-Men: First Class’ is the story of the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time.

Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

This trailer actually looks pretty good, and does the film some kind of justice, especially when mutant heroes can seem a little wrong in our eyes. Zoe Kravitz, daughter of rock star Lenny Kravitz and plays Angel (I think anyways, judging by the trailer it seemed more a ‘butterfly’), looked pretty and January Jones is…well, hot for definite The chemistry between James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender looks an interesting one and seeing the Blackbird is always nice. It has kind of taken everyone off guard in fact judging by the balanced opinions from fans all over, so we can hope only for more trailers released as well as now higher expectations going in to see this movie.
